Habitat for Humanity Dedication

Even the cold could not dampen the joy of Habitat for Humanity's newest homeowner. Forty-four members of St. Ann's Habitat ministry either swung a hammer or wielded a paintbrush during the nine-week build. Others prepared or purchased food to feed the volunteers, and countless folks continue to support the mission with their prayers and financial support.

Fr. Joseph Favole from St. Francis de Sales in Mableton blessed the home and asked for God's protection for Emmanuel and his daughter.

Emmanuel was presented with his new house keys, a Bible, and a hammer, symbolic of the action everyone took to make his home a reality.

50th Habitat House is Completed!

St. Ann's Habitat house #50 is done! In a mere two months, with the help of 43 St. Ann's parishioners and our other Coalition partners, we went from a concrete slab to a completed house - and it is a beauty! Thank you to everyone (whether you swung a hammer, prepared lunch, or made a donation) who helped Emmanuel realize his dream of home ownership.

Remodeling, cleaning out, downsizing or just getting organized? Consider donating your excess household goods and building materials to our Cobb County Habitat Re-Store located at the corner of South Cobb Drive and Concord Roads. We will gladly take new and gently-used items off your hands, and you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing they helped build Habitat Houses here in Cobb County. All donations are tax-deductible. Visit the website for details on donations or call 770-962-4200.

2023 Build

Key to a brighter future

Even rain clouds could not dampen the joy of Habitat for Humanity’s newest homeowners. Forty-five members of St. Ann’s Habitat ministry either swung a hammer or wielded a paintbrush during the nine-week build. Others prepared or purchased food to feed the volunteers and countless others continue to support the mission with their prayers and treasure.

New homeowners D’Ana and Tracey were presented with the keys to their homes, a bible, and a hammer – symbolic of the action everyone took to make their homes a reality. Monsignor John Schillinger joined us to bless the new homes.

Thank you to all who participated, volunteered and prayed for the 2023 home build.
