Participation • Presence • Generosity
More than a promise,
more than a choice.
Discipleship is a covenant
with yourself and the parish to live your life fully and fruitfully at St. Ann.
Each year, starting with
July 2024 - June 2025,
St. Ann will commit itself as a parish body to serving in the next year.
In December, we enter the third phase of our discipleship journey: generosity. Generosity begins with recognizing the abundant blessings we have received from the Lord and through life’s circumstances, inspiring us to follow His example by sharing with others. Our gratitude moves us to care for our church, our neighbors, and the world around us. Sometimes this care is expressed through ministry and service, while at other times, it is through financial support for meaningful causes. Generosity encompasses personal commitments to family, neighbors, and those in need, such as tuition payments, scholarships, aid for a sick loved one, disaster relief, or support for favorite charities through monthly donations. Together, these acts reflect the breadth of how we share God’s gifts with others. We recognize and celebrate all the good that you do in sharing and will be celebrating our generosity covenants at our parish’s Christmas Dinner and Sing-a-Long a fitting close to our discipleship journey.
During the Fall we will experience a time of reflection and meditation. You will have opportunities to give and share your time as a parishioner, group member, student and Catholic.
Let deep call to deep with these opportunities for community, prayer and formation. Let the Holy Spirit challenge you and members of your family to be positive presence in other people's lives. Your prayers and kept promises will allow the work of the parish to be even more fruitful.
This portion of our discipleship year will include covenant cards where each member of your family will be asked to commit on paper their intent to participate during the year.
We will celebrate together as a parish family at the Parish International Night. All members, families and friends are invited to volunteer to make this event possible or, to attend free of charge.
During the month of May we experience a time of re-commitment as we explore the ways and opportunities to serve in the roles our parish has to offer. You will be asked to share your interest and intent to serve others through liturgical, pastoral, faith formation, outreach and other ministries.
Opportunities to give your service to the most needed areas of parish life will be shared in several ways. Try something new, go where God is Calling You! Or, continue the traditions established by re-committing yourself to ministry and forming the next generation of leaders at St. Ann.
This portion of our discipleship year will include covenant cards where each member of your family will be asked to commit on paper their intent to serve in the year and we will celebrate together as a parish family at the Parish Festival. All members, families and friends are invited to volunteer to make this event possible or, to attend free of charge.
Discipleship is for everyone called by Jesus. From Preschool and Elementary aged children, Middle and High School Teens, Young Adults, Young Marrieds, Established Parents, Empty Nesters, 55+ Seniors, Priests and Clergy.
