National Eucharistic Revival

Draw Closer To Christ

Jesus wants to be close to you and to be intimately united with you. He desires this so much that he gives us himself — body, blood, soul and divinity. The U.S. bishops have called for a revival to go back to the basics of our faith and focus on Jesus being truly present in the Eucharist.

The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to help us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Its mission is to renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Its vision is to inspire a movement of Catholics across the United States who are healed, converted, formed and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist, who are then sent out on mission “for the life of the world.”

We want to start a FIRE, not a program.
- Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Chairman of the Board, National Eucharistic Congress

What does this mean for me?

  • Start by reading scripture, especially where the Eucharist is mentioned in the four Gospels:
  • Matthew 26:26-30
  • Mark 14:22-26
  • Luke 22:14-20
  • John 6:22-59 (The Bread of Life discourse)
  • Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. (Visit our Procession Video - Coming Soon)

Here are four pillars of the movement and how you can act on them:

  1. Reinvigorated worship: Attend Mass more often (Mass schedule)
  2. Personal encounters with the Lord: Parish holy hour, individual time in adoration (Adoration schedule)
  3. Learn about the Eucharist: Faith formation programs
  4. Tell others: Parish missions

How can I learn more?

Learn more about the gift of the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith at eucharisticrevival.org.

St. Ann’s will be offering opportunities throughout the year, such as parish holy hours and faith formation classes.
