St. Ann’s audio/visual team provides support to enhance parish events and weekend Masses. This includes operating media, hardware, software, and audio equipment, serving the parish in a behind-the-scenes, yet meaningful way. A/V Director Ed Bolduc and Dawn Knuckles, media specialist, lead a dedicated crew of volunteers whose job it is to make events run smoothly and without distractions.
“Our primary goal is to enhance the overall worship experience of Mass attendees,” said Bolduc.
The team always welcomes new members, and now is a great time to join. Bolduc and Knuckles invite you to attend one of the upcoming volunteer training sessions in the church at 6:00pm or 7:00pm on June 14. Interested parishioners should enjoy working with technology, learning new skills and meeting new people, said Knuckles.
All training is provided. Recordings of the weekend songs are accessible ahead of time and musicians rehearse 20 minutes prior to Masses, allowing time to get comfortable with the playlists.
After completing a training session, volunteers will shadow an experienced operator at a few Masses, then expect to serve every few weeks, if not weekly.
Open to high school sophomores and older. Middle schoolers can apply to serve alongside a trained parent at the Family Mass.
