In the heart of every community lies a figure who leaves an indelible mark on the lives they touch.
Nancy, our esteemed Preschool Director, bids farewell as she retires from her over 20 years with us. As she moves on to retirement she leaves behind a legacy of love, learning, and laughter. She impacted countless lives, including the parents and children in the latest Friends Forever graduation ceremony; one adult in the audience having been a student of hers many years ago.
As we bid farewell to Nancy, we do so with mixed emotions. While we are saddened by her departure, we are also filled with gratitude for the profound impact she has had on our lives and the lives of countless others. Nancy's legacy will endure in the laughter that echoes through the halls, the lessons that continue to inspire, and the bonds of friendship that remain unbreakable.
To Nancy, we extend our deepest thanks for her years of dedicated service, unwavering kindness, and boundless love. You will be dearly missed.

Lets Welcome our New Preschool Director and Assistant Director
Please join us in extending heartfet congratulations to Kitty and Stephanie! After over two decades of dedicated service in the classroom, Kitty Deist will be stepping into the role of Preschool Director. With her wealth of experience and passion for early childhood education, Kitty is perfectly poised to lead our preschool into its next chapter of excellence.
Joining Kitty in this new endeavor is Stephanie Soto, a valued member of our preschool community for over 10 years, who has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Preschool, in addition to her teaching. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact they will continue to make on the lives of our preschool learners, and we are confident that their leadership will inspire both students and staff alike.
A Letter from Nancy:
Dear Parents,
As my retirement draws near, many have asked if I am counting the days until retirement. I am not, it is very bittersweet as I think about the next phase of my life and not getting up and coming to school every day! Mind you, sleeping in has its pros. We look forward to being able to dive into being “grandparents”, traveling and visiting with family all around the country and finding our new normal.
I have watched over the halls as the director for 18 years and before that as a teacher for five years. St. Ann's has truly been my home and family away from my home. I have overseen the growth of the school, flexed like Gumby during three major construction projects, and pivoted as the needs of our families changed with what they needed for the education of their children. My most challenging, yet most satisfying accomplishment, was the reopening of the school in August of 2020. We maintained a safe and loving environment with minor hiccups during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was something all my education and training never prepared me for.
I have laughed and cried with the children and have received so much love from them. I have been blessed to oversee the absolute best teaching staff around. I have no doubt they will continue to go above and beyond for all of you and your children going forward. This is a chapter of my life that I am ending, but certainly will never forget.
Let me reassure you, you will not see any changes any time soon and your children will still be attending the best preschool around. Even after I have turned in my keys, I look forward to being able to come back and visit as well as bring Georgia for her love and pets from the children.
