Unbound: St. Ann-Santa Ana Ministry

The El Salvador Unbound Project is a collaborative effort between the Catholic Church of St. Ann and Santa Ana, El Salvador.

Parishioners are invited to:
• Sponsor a child, young adult or elderly person.
• Help fund a project, reaching out to the marginalized and vulnerable, submitted by the Unbound staff in El Salvador.

Why El Salvador? El Salvador is the smallest (the size of Massachusetts), but most densely populated country in Central America. With a population of 6.3 million people, it is also one of the poorest countries in South and Central America.

How can I participate in the St. Ann-Santa Ana Ministry?

Donate: Browse through the donation form below to learn about how to make a purchase that will change the lives of people in Santa Ana. Make a donation to the Father Roger Plante Scholarship Fund.
Become a sponsor: St. Ann's sponsors are the cornerstone of Unbound’s success in Santa Ana. Sponsorships help Santa Ana villagers break out of poverty by improving their health, nutrition, housing, water supply, clothing, recreation and access to education.
Take a trip: Each year, St. Ann sponsors two awareness trips to El Salvador.
1. Adult/Family trips to El Salvador: Sponsors can meet their sponsored children, elders, and families. This provides an opportunity to  observe the living conditions and experience the profound impact that Unbound provides.
2. Teen Service Trip to El Salvador

Father Roger Plante, MS was an early member of the Unbound organization, and when he began a special project for St. Ann, it was serendipitous that Unbound had found an area in El Salvador named Santa Ana. Before Father Roger’s passing in December 2017, he formalized the St. Ann–Santa Ana ministry, board of directors, and operating committees to ensure that this work would continue.
