I asked our Pastoral Council to help me reshape St. Ann’s pastoral plan, which is based on our parish mission statement. This statement is the organizing principle for the life and ministry of St. Ann’s. It makes us different from other parishes and gives us one lens through which we view the world. —Father Ray Cadran, pastor
What is it? For the better part of a year, Father Ray and our Parish Pastoral Council have been revising St. Ann's pastoral plan, a road map for our community which flows from the parish mission statement.
What does this mean? This summer, we offer you a deeper understanding of our mission statement’s four pillars. Father Ray hopes parishioners will become more familiar with the mission statement, the soul of the pastoral plan, and consider how their spiritual lives reflect its principles.
Why now? "What better time than now to set our path and connect with each of the pillars as we find our way back from the challenges we’ve all faced over the past year?" asked John Tapley, a PPC member.
How do you fit in to the pastoral plan? Let’s ensure we’re doing all we can to build up the community that will celebrate and minister in the new Parish Life Center, which opens later this year. “By understanding the mission statement, parishioners can make informed choices about how they spend their time at church and in the community,” said PPC member Cara Dominick. “They can expand their participation in meaningful ways.”
