Understanding St. Ann’s Parish Pastoral Council: A Pathway to Progress

At the heart of St. Ann’s Parish, the Pastoral Council plays a key role in shaping our community's spiritual and operational life. Composed of a diverse group of parishioners, the council works closely with Father Jim to develop and implement the Pastoral Plan. Their mission is to address the concerns and needs of the parish, creating solutions that benefit the entire St. Ann’s family.

Key Functions of the Pastoral Council:

1. Supporting Father Jim: Assists in crafting and executing the Pastoral Plan.
2. Addressing Parish Needs: Develops solutions to address parishioners' concerns and needs.
3. Acting as Ambassadors: Bridges the gap between clergy, staff, and ministries to ensure every parishioner’s voice is heard.

St. Ann’s Parish values the diversity within the Pastoral Council, reflecting the varied backgrounds, ages, and experiences of our community. This diversity is crucial for effective decision-making and ensuring that all voices are considered.

This year, the council is committed to enhancing its visibility and transparency. We aim to strengthen our connection with the parish community by making our work more accessible and clearly demonstrating how we support and improve the St. Ann’s experience.

Currently, we are conducting Best Practices surveys to assess various aspects of parish life. These surveys gather valuable feedback that will inform our 5-year pastoral plan, guiding our strategic and spiritual goals. We have completed three of the seven surveys, and we are analyzing the results to finalize the plan, which will be unveiled in a few months.
