Fighting to Abolish Child Trafficking for Sex
The members of the FACTS ministry work to address the issue of trafficking in the following ways:
Increasing awareness of the problem of child sex trafficking in Georgia
• Startling facts, warning signs, who is at risk
• Core causes/contributors
• Prevention and the protection of all children
Actively engaging our parish to lobby for legislation to punish perpetrators and protect victims
• Petitions, letters to Congress and campaigning for stronger legislation
• Attend annual anti-trafficking lobby days at the Georgia State Capitol

Serving the Victims

St. Ann’s FACTS Ministry has partnered with Wellspring Living, an organization that provides trauma-informed care to survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking. FACTS volunteers serve the girls’ residential program, which securely houses girls age 12-17 with a focus on trauma therapy, education, life skills, and confidence.
Volunteers serve in a variety of ways, including:
- Mentorships
- Service projects/fundraising/donations/drives
- Dinners/games/events – engaging with the healing victims
- Lunches and encouragement
