Adopt-A-Family supports those in need

by teaming with various agencies and programs.

Classic City High School (Athens) A school serving students who do not thrive in a large high school environment. Eighteen teens have been identified who would not have any gifts for Christmas and whose families struggle to keep food on the table.

Good Shepherd Services (Chamblee) This organization serves refugees and immigrants regardless of ethnicity, gender or religious beliefs and provides programs that bring hope, restore dignity and improve life. Donors provide food and gifts for families and the elderly.

Lakewood St. Vincent de Paul Center (Atlanta) This center provides much-needed support to an area that doesn’t have access to a nearby Catholic church. Donors supply food and gifts.

LaBelle Elementary School (Marietta) This school, which partners with St. Ann’s Sharing our Blessings Ministry for student food assistance during the year, requests board games, books and small fleece throws for its students.

Devereux (Kennesaw) For more than 40 years, Devereux has provided opportunities for children, adolescents and young adults struggling with emotional and behavioral health challenges. Donors provide gift cards for foster care children who are supported by the center.

St. Clement’s Catholic Church (Calhoun) St. Ann partners with other St. Vincent de Paul Society conferences in areas where the need is great, such as St. Clement’s parish. Donors provide food and gifts for families.

Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church (Canton) St. Ann’s donors provide gifts for families in need in partnership with another St. Vincent de Paul Society conference.

Haven Academy (Cobb/Paulding) This program serves students with emotional and behavioral disorders that require therapeutic interventions due to the severity of one or more of the characteristics of their disability. While St. Ann EDGE students will be purchasing most of the gifts this year, additional donors are needed for large items such as bikes and tablets.

Mercy Recuperative Care (Atlanta) Homeless men and women who have been hospitalized stay at this facility for up to 30 days while they recuperate. Mercy Care’s staff provides medical support and helps in housing placement. Donors provide gifts.

Cobb Kids There are currently 24 unsheltered families living in their cars and doing their best to keep their children in school. St. Ann has partnered with a Cobb County social worker to help these families by supplying small gifts and gift cards.

Helping Haitians at Christmas This is our first year to reach out internationally by partnering with a remote La Salette Haitian parish. Donations of $50 or $100 will allow the youth of the parish to provide a Christmas celebration and dinner for the senior members of the local community.

St. Vincent de Paul (St. Ann) Food and gifts are provided for some of the folks we are currently assisting.

Food for Christmas This 2024 donations dates will be announced closer to the event.
