La Salette Laity Ministry
Who We Are & What We Do
The St. Ann’s La Salette Laity is a dedicated group of adults who have committed themselves to learning, praying, and living through the lens of the message that Mary shared with two children on an isolated French alp many years ago. Our group seeks to live out her message in our daily lives, drawing closer to Christ and each other through prayer, reflection, and service.
Why We Exist
Our parish has been blessed by the presence of the Missionaries of La Salette since its founding in 1978. The La Salette charism of reconciliation—which is rooted in the unique Marian apparition—is the foundation from which all of our ministry flows. We exist to deepen our understanding of Mary’s message, the history of the La Salette Religious Order, and their call to reconciliation, as we partner with our priests to bring us closer to Christ in our daily lives.
Who We Serve
Our ministry serves not only our own community but also the wider faith family by sharing Mary’s message of love and reconciliation. Through both prayer and service, we strive to foster deeper connections with Christ, one another, and ourselves. Volunteer opportunities like the La Salette Laity Summit we are
Volunteer Opportunities
We invite all parishioners to join us in supporting the La Salette mission through:
- Personal prayer
- Prayer at Mass (we pray the La Salette invocation at each Mass)
- Volunteer participation in our tri-annual La Salette Laity Summit, held this year from June 4-7
- Facilitators for new groups of La Salette Laity
We welcome volunteers who want to share their gifts and grow in their faith through prayer, community, and service.
Special Requirements
The only requirement to join the La Salette Laity is a commitment to regular prayer, an open heart, and a willingness to learn more about Mary’s message of reconciliation. Service to others will naturally follow from your dedication to prayer and the understanding that comes with it.
