Who We Are & What We Do

The Divorced and Separated Support Ministry is a volunteer facilitated, drop-in type group allowing attendance to vary based on the attendee’s schedule. The group meets twice a month to discuss issues and share support with each other regarding marital separation and divorce. Books and other resources to help with this process are available through the ministry.

Why We Exist

Catholics are not immune to marital discourse. Often a married couple grows apart and one or both partners may seek separation and/or divorce. Having the support of others who are going through the same thing is important during this difficult time

Who We Serve

This program supports those in the parish and surrounding community who are in the process of or have been through a marital separation or divorce.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer facilitators have a working knowledge of and experience with marriage separation and divorce situations.

Special Requirements

Because we work with vulnerable individuals, our volunteer facilitators must complete a safe environment VIRTUS training and a background check to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.
