Adopt-A-Family supports those in need by teaming with various agencies and programs.
Classic City High School (Athens) A school serving students who do not thrive in a large high school environment. Twenty teens have been identified who would not have any gifts for Christmas and whose families struggle to keep food on the table.
Good Shepherd Services (Chamblee) This organization serves refugees and immigrants and provides programs that bring hope, restore dignity, and improve life.
LaBelle Elementary School (Marietta) This school, which partners with St. Ann’s Sharing our Blessings Ministry for student food assistance during the year, requests board games, books, and puzzles.
St. Clement Catholic Church (Calhoun) St. Ann partners with other St. Vincent dePaul Society conferences in areas where the need is great, such as St. Clement’s parish. Donors provide food and gifts for families.
Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church (Canton) St. Ann’s donors provide gifts for families in need in partnership with another St. Vincent dePaul Society conference.
Aspire Academy (Cobb/Paulding) This program serves students with emotional and behavioral disorders that require therapeutic interventions due to the severity of one or more of the characteristics of their disability.
Mercy Recuperative Care (Atlanta) Homeless men who have been hospitalized stay at this facility for up to 30 days while they recuperate. Mercy Care’s staff provides medical support and helps in housing placement.
Mercy Care Rapid Rehousing: This unit of Mercy Care places those who were in recuperative care into housing rather than returning to the streets. Clothing and household items are needed.
Cobb Kids Families identified by the Cobb County School System as being at risk of losing their housing or currently experiencing temporary or unstable housing. St. Ann has partnered with a Cobb County social worker to help these families with their needs at Christmas.
Circles Cobb This program builds community to end poverty through intentional friendships, personal transformation, and systemic change led by the people closest to the challenge.
Family Promise Through eviction prevention, shelter, professional case management and the support of congregations (like ours) this program provides the guidance and resources families need to regain stability and move toward independence.
Holy Cross (Doraville) St. Ann partners with other St. Vincent dePaul Society conferences in areas where the need is great, such as Holy Cross parish. Donors provide food and gifts for families.
Helping Haitians at Christmas We partner with a remote La Salette Haitian parish. Donations of $50 or $100 support the basic needs of the families and the parish.
St. Vincent de Paul (St. Ann) Food and gifts are provided for some of the folks we are currently assisting.
