Exploring the bible together A lunch & learn between Catholic and Jewish communities

| This interfaith group will explore passages of the bible with Rabbi Slomovitz and Fr. Lamartine once a month. After reading scripture, Rabbi and Father will explain the passage according to our faith traditions with a respectful, nonjudgmental discussion to follow. The goal of this group is to bring people together, build friendship between our communities, and to create an understanding that people of different faiths are more alike than different. Join us once a month as we explore passages from the Bible through the lenses of different faith traditions. Led by Rabbi Slomovitz and Father Lamartine, each session will include a reading of scripture, followed by thoughtful explanations from both the Jewish and Christian perspectives. Together, we’ll engage in respectful, nonjudgmental dialogue that honors our differences while celebrating our shared values. The goal of this group is to foster friendship between our communities, promote mutual understanding, and remind us that people of different faiths are often more alike than different. All are welcome—come with an open heart and a curious mind.
