Prayer and Praise Ministry
Who We Are & What We Do
We are a joy-filled community of believers dedicated to building a more personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. Through our monthly prayer meetings, we gather to focus on praise and worship through music and Scripture, reflective prayer time, teachings, sharing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and intercessory prayer. Our ministry is also committed to evangelizing our faith by participating in the parish Healing Masses. Whether you’re seeking to deepen your relationship with Jesus or explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life, we invite you to join us. We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:15 pm in Room 303. All are welcome!
Why We Exist
As Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” We exist to build a loving community that raises awareness of God’s love and power in our lives. By growing in greater awareness of His presence, we aim to share what we’ve learned with the broader parish family, helping to build up and support the Body of Christ at St. Ann’s.
Who We Serve
We serve anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with the Blessed Trinity through the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Our ministry is also there for those seeking guidance and direction from God, as well as for individuals in need of prayer during our Healing Masses.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our ministry plays an important role in supporting the quarterly parish Healing Masses by staffing various positions, including:
- Greeters
- Sacristans
- Lectors
- Ushers
- Eucharistic Ministers
- Prayer Team Members
We welcome volunteers who are called to serve in these capacities to help make these events impactful for our community.
Special Requirements
The primary requirement for volunteering is being open to the Holy Spirit working in your life. We believe that openness to the Spirit is essential for the success of this ministry.
