St. Ann’s Council of Catholic Women (SACCW)
Who We Are & What We Do
The St. Ann’s Council of Catholic Women (SACCW) is dedicated to building a strong faith based community through friendship, spiritual reflection, service, and outreach. Rooted in Christ’s call to action, we support one another while working to make a meaningful impact. Whether through fundraising, charitable giving, or evangelization, we strive to be a force for good in our parish and beyond.
Why We Exist
Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received; freely give.” Inspired by His words, the SACCW seeks to serve, evangelize, and bring awareness to issues affecting our community. We offer hope to those in need while also creating opportunities for faith, fellowship, and service. Through our various guilds—the Day Guild and Spanish Guild—we champion local causes and foster a spirit of giving.
Who We Serve
SACCW serves both our parish and the broader community by supporting several outreach program and hosting events that directly benefit local charities, families in need, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hospice in downtown Atlanta. Additionally, we provide scholarships to deserving teens of St. Ann’s, ensuring the next generation is empowered to serve.
Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome women of all ages to join us in making a difference! Opportunities include:
- Event Planning & Fundraising: Help organize and run events such as the Apple Annie Christmas Craft Show, our Annual Garage Sale, and our Charity Auction. (See more about these events in the Generosity section of this handbook.)
- Community Outreach: Assist in service projects that support local charities, shelters, and food pantries.
- Faith & Fellowship: Participate in spiritual reflection gatherings, retreats, and faithbased discussions.
- Behind-the-Scenes Support: Help with administration, marketing, or coordinating service initiatives. Whether you have just a little time or a lot to give, every contribution makes a difference!
Special Requirements
There are no special requirements to join—just a passion for faith, service, and community! Certain volunteer roles, especially those working with vulnerable populations, may require a VIRTUS Safe Environment training and background check.
