St. Ann Prays for Vocations

Vocations Cross at home prayer program.

Assist our community in our prayers for vocations to the priesthood, religious life, permanent diaconate and especially to the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, who staff our parish. Sign up after any Mass at the table in front of the altar to receive the vocations cross at the Mass you attend. Pray for vocations each day and return the cross to Mass the next weekend. Its that simple, yet that important.

National Vocations Awareness Week

Answering God's Call

Nov. 5-11, 2023

This is National Vocations Awareness Week. We invite you to watch the stories of three parish families whose lives have been impacted by the call to religious vocations. In this video, produced by St. Ann parishioners on behalf of the Vocations Committee, the Piendel, Kiehl, and Porter families share relatable stories about their family faith journeys.

Prayerfully consider how you might promote vocations to those you know and love, especially to the Order of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. Be sure to sign up at Mass to take the vocations cross home to pray for vocations. See more information on the St. Ann Vocation's Cross above.

Prayer for discernment of my vocation
Gracious God, you have called me to life and gifted me in many ways.

Through baptism you have sent me to continue the mission of Jesus by sharing my life and love with others.

Open my heart to listen to your deeper call. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may have a listening heart and the courage to respond to you. Lead me to choose the way of life to which you are calling me.

Enkindle in my heart the desire to make me the world a better place by serving you as a married or single person, lay minister, religious sister or brother, priest or deacon.

Help me to become all you desire me to be. Amen.

Parents’ prayer for vocations

Gracious and loving God, you have blessed us with the privilege of becoming parents. We ask that you provide us with all that we need to live out this awesome responsibility.

We pray that we will be open to your spirit who is our source of strength as we witness to our children your love for each of them and your desire for them to be happy and to live a full life.

We ask your help so that we may continue to guide and encourage our children to believe that they each have a special calling and to use their gifts and talents for benefit of others.

Heavenly Father, we ask that our children will discover and respond enthusiastically to your desire for them whether it be to the vocation of single, married, ordained or consecrated life.

We ask all this through christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of La Salette for vocations to the La Salette Missionaries

Mary, mother of reconciliation, your invitation to come near was given long ago yet you continue to invite us to draw closer to you and your son.

We pray for all those whom your son is calling to serve in religious life and especially as La Salette priests, sisters and brothers. May they open their heart to his invitation and respond with generosity and fearless faith.

May they help you to make known your message of reconciliation and, through the grace of your son, heal the many divisions which separate us from each other and from our loving God.

Our Lady of La Salette, reconciler of sinners, pray without ceasing for us who have recourse to you. Amen.
