First Communion

2024 First Communion Masses

All Masses are Saturday, April 27.

  1. 9:00am (Rehearsal: April 24, 4:00-5:00pm)
  2. 11:30am (Rehearsal: April 24, 5:30-6:30pm) 
  3. 2:00pm (Rehearsal: April 24, 7:00-8:00pm)

Registration for First Communion Masses will open Monday, Jan. 8, at 8:00am via our online registration system. There is a sacramental preparation fee of $35.00.

 

Mandatory workshops for Year 2 students

  1. Reconciliation workshop: Sunday, Oct. 22, 2:00-3:30pm, La Salette Hall 
  2. Eucharist workshop: Sunday, March 10, 2:00-3:30pm, La Salette Hall 


Both workshops are 90 minutes long. Attendance is required for the student and one parent.

Required forms

  1. Baptismal certificate: Upload your child's certificate HERE.
  2. Parish registration form: You must be a registered parishioner to receive First Communion at St. Ann. Access a registration form by clicking HERE.

Required sacramental preparation classes: Which one is right for your child?

Sacramental preparation for first, second, or third grades

Sacramental preparation is a two-year religious education process. The first-year religious preparation needs to be completed in order to receive Reconciliation and First Communion in the second year. If your child is entering second or third grade with NO religious education you will need to register them as a Year 1 student.

Sacramental preparation for fourth grade and older

OCIC: Students coming into the Catholic Church needing Baptism AND First Communion should register for the Order of Christian Initiation for Children, offered Sundays at 8:45am. Click here to register for OCIC. Contact Susan Harris770-490-2917.


Voyage: Students who have received Baptism but still need First Communion should register for the Voyage program. Students and parents for this group need to attend four mandatory workshops in addition to a  to a regular faith formation class (Launch, Edge, or Life Teen). Click here to register for Voyage.
