Music Ministry

Music at the Masses ...

Overall, the music at Saint Ann's leans to the more contemporary side, but we treasure traditional hymns and texts as well. Assembly singing is our primary goal, which determines virtually all of our song selections as well as the key in which it is sung/played. Ensembles range from a full band to a single piano and vocalist. (see below)

Joining the music ministry ...

If you are interested in joining the music ministry as a singer or instrumentalist, contact Director of Music Ed Bolduc to set up an appointment.

After a simple audition, we can discuss how you might be able to add your voice or instrument to the weekend liturgies. Singers do not need to be able to read music. Guitarists should be comfortable reading chords. Pianists must be able to read keyboard scores.

CHORALE
The Chorale is an auditioned choir that sings at the 10:30am Mass in the church on Sundays. If you are interested in joining the Chorale, contact Director of Music Ed Bolduc to schedule a time.

FESTIVAL CHOIR
The Festival Choir is a non-auditioned choir open to all. A basic skill assessment, however, is required.

The Festival Choir sings for the following Masses with a rehearsal the week prior:
Feast of La Salette, Christ the King, Christmas Eve, Holy Family, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and Pentecost

If you are interested in joining the Festival Choir, contact Director of Music Ed Bolduc to schedule a time.

Rehearsals
All groups rehearse immediately before Mass in the church (or Carroll Center).
